Junior, Senior and graduate students with interest and demonstrated ability in economics are eligible for membership in OMICRON DELTA EPSILON, INTERNATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY IN ECONOMICS.

Sine 1970, the University of Memphis Chapter of ODE has been one of the 250 throughout the U.S. and the world. The objectives of ODE include recognition of scholastic attainment, the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty, and the promotion of economics as a professional field of specialization. Activities include social functions such as an annual Spring dinner, sponsored public lectures, and business meetings.

Membership in ODE is by invitation or self nomination. Eligibility criteria are: for undergraduate students, an overall scholastic average of 'B', with at least 12 hours of economics with a 'B' average; and for graduate students at least 9 hours of credit, with 6 hours in economics with a 'B' average.

ODE has a one-time fee of $30 for new members. This fee entitles you to a membership scroll and a one-year subscription to the American Economist.
